Histology Laboratory Supervisor

Caudle Lab Consulting is seeking a Histology Supervisor for a derm-path lab in Northeast Tennessee. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations of the Derm-Path lab and supervise between 5 to 6 team members. 

Qualifications:

- ASCP certifications for high-complexity testing (required)

- Lab Supervising experience (required)

- Regulatory compliance experience

- Microsoft and excel proficient 

- Mohs experience a plus

Duties and Responsibilities: 

- Oversee daily lab operations and quality control

- Ensure proper maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and processes. 

- Monitor and ensure proper implementation of quality assurance and quality control programs.

- Maintain quality control and quality assurance with all governing bodies by updating, maintaining, and implementing Standard Operation Procedures in the lab.

- Complete all required training and proficiency testing required by CLIA.

- Supervise, train and schedule lab team.

- Stay current on all state regulations and certifications

We are seeking a Mohs Histotechnician for a derm-path lab in Northeast Tennessee. This expanding and vibrant community provides outdoor adventure, top healthcare and schools, with lower cost of living. If you enjoy fast-paced teamwork, this is for you!

Qualifications:

· Mohs histology experience required

· HT/HTL (preferred but not required

Job Responsibilities (including but are not limited to):

· Embedding tissue using Mohs technique for frozen sections.

· Use Cryostat Microtomy for cryosectioning of fresh and frozen tissue.

· Mount tissue onto glass slide appropriately and examine for complete epidermis.

· Hematoxylin and Eosin staining for fresh frozen tissue for Mohs techniques.

· Complete representation of tissue sections for evaluation by Mohs Surgeon. 

· Ability to perform duties in a timely manner for slide turn around time. 

· Assist Surgeon during Mohs surgery.

· Accurately collect and document supporting procedural data for clinical lab.

· Adhere to all HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA guidelines.

· Follow Infection Control procedures and policies. 

· Respond promptly to care questions or concerns for resolution.

· Operate and maintain clinical equipment following equipment guidelines.

· Ability to document and troubleshoot equipment and discrepancies.
